Leo Darby commenced manufacturing bar stools in 1952 from a converted dance hall at Deanhill, Navan. Fixed seating along with chairs were added to stool production in the 1960's. While L.N. Darby & Sons Ltd. has branched out to sell an increasing number of modern furniture designs as well as the traditional items for which it is well known it aim remains the same as when it first started in business 50 years ago.
